Updated September 2026. The next big sales window is Black Friday week (27 November 2026). Between windows, the lists below show what ran last time, a good preview of what returns every year. I refresh this page when the sales go live, so bookmark it for late November.
When is Black Friday 2026? Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Most outdoor brands open their sales in the week before and run through the weekend. This guide only lists deals on gear and tools I use myself, and it includes the European shops (Bever, Decathlon, Bergfreunde) that most American deal guides skip.
Holiday sales always arrives with the same contrast. The world outside slows down, inviting stillness, long nights, early dawns, and outdoor adventure dreaming is on. Yet online everything speeds up with every early holiday commerce sign.
Every November the inbox and timeline flood with black friday deals and specials. Consumerism is not something we as outdoor and nature lovers support. You ‘only' need to dive below the surface, sail or catch a surfwave and the impact of our consumption doesn't go unseen in the form of (micro)plastics.
If you live close to the natural world, you probably feel the tension. Most outdoor adventurers and nomad souls carry little and choose with intention. We patch our jackets, repair our bags, and keep our outdoor essentials minimal and meaningful.
That said, the average food basket these days doubled in investment and if there's a deal to snatch that can greatly enhance your outdoor adventures or nomad lifestyle for years to come, there's a window of opportunity. The only thing I bought last Black Friday was a ferry ticket, so I could hop to a different island with the van.
A mindful approach isn’t necessarily about refusing the noise. It is about moving consciously through it. Buying less but choosing better. Knowing when a piece of quality gear will serve you in the mountains, on the water, in the van, or wherever this wandering life leads next. And knowing when a brand and offer is genuine and sustainable. Know that many companies inflate their prices before black friday to make the savings look more dramatic. Skip those. Other brands clear out their stock and may have genuinely something nice to offer.

The sea simplifies everything. Offshore, gear either works or it doesn’t. A single failure can become expensive fast. Some sailing essentials can make the difference between discomfort and confidence on deck.
