I’m very excited to share this with you! A new book is coming out 🙂 THIS YEAR!

In 2017, I published Ocean Nomad, mainly focused on Sailing as crew across the Atlantic. A while ago, I got approached by the German publisher Delius Klasing that they would like to translate Ocean Nomad into German. Instead, we made a fresh new edition, applicable to travelling by sailboat as crew anywhere in the world. And with updates and learnings from my ocean adventures and nomad life since.

Out now!

Not having Wi-Fi in Morocco last winter made me finalize the manuscript, which is currently being translated as I write this. I’m very excited to bring this to you and have a new tool out to dip your toes into travelling by sailboat.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Salz auf meiner Haut

This book follows my book Ocean Nomad, where I shared the bearings for sailing the Atlantic as crew. You don’t need to sail an ocean to experience sailing life. Or start with buying a boat. As a matter of fact, I recommend you start small, close to home, and as a crew before sailing oceans. This book is relevant to anyone looking to start sailing life anywhere, whether you just want to dip your toes into the lifestyle or have the dream to sail around the world. Maybe you are looking to get sailing experience before you buy a boat, or you just come out of high school, or the kids left home and you now have time to pursue other dreams. Sailing as crew is for any age and skill level.

I hope this Ocean travel guide inspires, encourages, and motivates you to dip your toes into the sailing lifestyle. In addition to practical tips, information, and stories, I’ve included some actionable takeaways on how sailors can make a positive difference for the ocean. This book provides the bearings. It’s up to you to gather the courage, take action, and make the most of it.

The book Salz auf der Haut is coming out the day (October 11) we start our trip in Greece. Serendipity or what? We’ll celebrate together. I hope I have a copy by then so I can bring it.

It’s already available here and on Amazon.

I’m now exploring the options for publishing this book in English. Also for the english speaking world, I create a next level in depth toolkit to help you travel the seas safe and sustainably with the Sailboat Travel Crew Course.

PS. The smile here on the cover was the smile when seeing land at the end of my 4th Atlantic Crossing. It was a rough one!

PS 2. Have you written a book, or are you considering one? We have a thread on this in the Artist & Creator space in the Ocean Nomads network, where we help each out figure out writing and publishing things.
