No plan IS the plan.
In a world run by clocks, calendars, and constant connection…
Nature reminds us: you don’t need that!
It doesn’t care about your agenda
It doesn’t ask for a plan.
It simply invites you to tune in and trust.
To live with the sun.☀️
Follow the trail.
And carry a little faith that things will work out.✨
Because no plan often makes the best plan
And the best memories 😊
The trail always provides.Would you be worried… or feeling wildly excited? 😊 Not knowing where to sleep…📽️ This is a snippet from my video series where I share tips and tales from hiking 850 km across the Pyrenees on the GR11 (youtube @ oceanpreneur / link in bio)⛺️Curious where we ended up sleeping that night? (Spoiler: it was one of the worst nights on trail 😅)

The excitement of a hike 💫🫐The GR11 trail is an 850-kilometre trail across the Spanish Pyrenees. It goes from the Atlantic Ocean (Irun in the Basque Country) to the Mediterranean (Eastern Pyrenees to Cap de Creus). I can highly recommend it for your next adventure!🎥This is a snippet of my first video of many about the GR11 adventure: What was it like and why you should go on a long hikeFind it on youtube

It was fun. I promise.Do you know what to do when a bear says hi from the bushes 🙊?Not a single dull moment on the GR11 trail. Big high and lows and that’s what made it so memorable, special and magic ❤️Do you know that fruit tree I spotted at the end? This wasn’t just a hike. It’s an experience of a lifestyle that brings you closer to nature and the essence than most other ways of life. No noise, no notifications, just you. 🧘‍♀️ Are you in solitude sometimes? One of the most special parts of hiking across the Pyrenees was the solitude. Walking alone, I found a rhythm that felt so natural. It was just me, the mountains, and my thoughts. I started planning less and noticing more.Out there, my intuition got stronger. My mind clearer. I wasn’t organizing adventures for others (Thank you Bri for keeping @oceannomads.community riding waves!) just moving with the day, listening, observing. Resting. And in that rest, dreams crystallized.
When you strip away input, opinions, and expectations, you remember what truly matters. The trail has a way of showing you the mountain you really want to climb, in life and ofcourse on trail 💃Curious about trail life, gear, hiking with a dog, or how not to lose your mind in the mountains
🎥 Head over to youtube (@oceanpreneur / Link in Bio) for or deeper reflections, tips, and behind-the-scenes from this 850km hike across the GR11💃🐕🏕️And for more Slow Travel Adventure Lifestyle Exploration:
💫 For tips & tales on slow nature-based nomad living @oceanpreneur
🏕️ Follow @johnny__mango on his 2200-mile Appalachian Trail hike in 100 days
🧭 Excited about doing a first big hike? 🌱👉@yourfirsthike
💙 Experience sailboat travel, create an oceanminded lifestyle and meet other ocean explorers @oceannomads.community is your tribeSee you in the wild! When’s the last time you were truly alone with your thoughts & and what did you learn?

Magic in the mundane 💦Think you live simply?

Magic in the mundane 💦Think you live simply? Try carrying your life on your back.Living in a van already strips life back to the essentials. But hiking? Hiking takes it to another level.
Vanlife teaches minimalism. Hiking embodies it.Water isn’t just water. It’s survival. Shade is a privilege. Dry rocks and socks are lucky moments. You stop expecting comfort and start celebrating every little gift nature gives.
Awareness sharpens. Gratitude deepens. You don’t need more gear. You need more presence.
More trust. More wild.Ready to live more fully with less?
Start by walking. Start by noticing.Don’t take anything for granted 💫
If you have access to water, a flat spot, some shade, food, and warmth, and dry socks 😊 you are a lucky human being 🍀The rest is bonus.Join me on a raw, real, and wild adventure as I hike 850km across the Pyrenees Mountains in 50 days, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean carrying all I need on my back 🏕️Navigate to link in bio for the full video on YouTube (@ oceanpreneur)And then, go outside 💫What’s the most humbling lesson nature has ever taught you?💫For more tips & tales on slow travel lifestyles with nature follow @oceanoreneur

I’ve done laundry twice this year, and my sheets

I’ve done laundry twice this year, and my sheets smell like sunshine ☀️(in my opinion 😁)How I do laundry living in the van (and would do it if I’d live in a house)Living in a van, it’s surprisingly hard to find a washing machine where you can add your own ocean friendly detergent (twice I’ve done laundry this year as in with a machine). Most laundromats have automatic chemical-filled dosing systems. The better and easier solution: let nature take care of it💫Sun + wind = laundry day opportunity!☀️ The sun naturally disinfects
🌬️ The wind freshens
🌊 The sea exfoliates and washes me 😁No toxins. No machines. No fake fragrances. Our grandmas knew these. UV rays from the sun can kill up to 90% of bacteria in just half and hour / hour. Nature’s bleach, without the toxins. Also just wearing and sleeping in natural fabrics like wool, linen, hemp, and organic cotton, without funky bodycreams or deodorant, and just eating pure, makes things (& me😁) not stinky. Natural fabrics don’t trap odors like synthetics do. They breathe, stay fresher longer, and don’t shed microplastics into the waterways, or your skin! Synthetic clothes like polyester and nylon shed thousands of microplastic fibers every time you wash them. These tiny bits end up in our oceans, our food, and even our blood. What’s important: momentum! ☀️🌬️ it’s not always that the sun & wind is out and you’re in a place where you can take out the sheets. And when the dirt even surpasses my standards 🤣 (I also have a dog 😅) and I do find access to a waschine machine ( or bucket), I make a super simple diy washing powder kind to the sea and me.DIY Wildful Washing Powder 🧺🌿
Bakingsoda, some grated olive oil, castile or marseille soap + a few drops of essential oil ( I love lemon, lavender or bergamot)Simple Wild & Free next to the sea that’s how I like to be 💙How do you do laundry and define clean?Bonus tip! 🤓 Wear your underwear when going for your morning dip 🌊😁 and you have a new fresh panties

Because later may never arrive. Now is the time to try that wild lifestyle whether it’s vanlife, sailing around the world, or long distance hikinglife on trail 🌱There are so many exiting lives to live with nature

I’ve bartended in the Alps. Studied in Southeast Asia. Volunteered in Peru. Lived in the tropics. Worked as a freediver instructor on a remote island. Sailed in all oceans. Became a sailboat captain. And environmentalist. Wrote books. Started a business. Chased wind in kitesurf towns. Now I live in my van, thruhiking is my new hobby, and I surf waves to stay fit and for fun. I’m studying Ayurveda. I’m a dog mum. I’ve experienced lots of trial and error. And it comes with its challenges. But if you don’t try, you’ll never know what beats your wild heart. What have you always been excited to try “someday” but haven’t “found the time” to experience? You just got to stay curious 👀 and don’t settle. And realize that now is the time. One wild chapter at the time 🌱If it’s sailinglife, vanlife, thruhiking or living barefoot in remote tropical places, perhaps I can help 🥥🌴What holds you back?
